Not More Mobs. A World That Organises Itself.

Most creature mods add things to kill. This one adds things that have their own agenda. Goblins skulk in the forests and gnolls range the savannas, and neither is waiting for you to show up. They form packs. They crown kings. They claim ground and build actual settlements on it, block by block. And they hate each other considerably more than they hate you.

Leave them alone for a while and the map changes without your involvement. That is the point.

The Goblins

The Goblin

Forests, after dark

Small, green, pointy-eared and not very durable — but they arrive in packs of three to five and they are not fussy about targets. Players, zombies, skeletons, villagers, pillagers, witches: all fair game. Creepers they leave alone, and witches actually fight alongside them.

Counterplay: daylight slows them, though it doesn’t burn them. They will never accept a bribe. Goblins are simply evil.

Drops: Epic Coin and bread.

The Hobgoblin

Rises when three or more goblins gather

The goblin warlord. Player-sized, twice as tough as his rabble, crowned, and audibly deeper-voiced. He prowls a territory and the goblins rally to him — and once he exists, the camp-building begins.

Drops: Epic Coin, an iron sword and spear, bread, sometimes a compass, and rarely a trident.

The Gnolls

Three hyena-headed gnolls with swords moving across a savanna beside water, one wearing a gold crown

The Gnoll and the Gnoll King

Savannas, after dark

Rusty, hyena-headed raiders, a shade hardier than goblins. They fight players, zombies, skeletons, pillagers, witches and spiders — but they leave villagers alone, and they flee iron golems rather than throwing themselves at one. The night hunts them back: zombies, skeletons, witches and spiders all prey on gnolls, so the savanna never settles.

They can be bought. Feed a gnoll any raw land meat — beef, porkchop, chicken, mutton, rabbit — and it will never attack you again. Feed a whole camp and you have safe passage through their territory for good. Attack a pacified gnoll, though, and the truce is over.

Drops: Electrum Coin, and an iron sword from the rank and file. Kings are friendly to one another and drop more reliably.

Monsters That Build

A goblin camp under construction: cobblestone and oak walls around a central campfire, with goblins nearby

This is the part that surprises people. A king with enough followers picks a spot and starts building a camp — one block at a time, a walled enclosure around a central campfire. Goblin camps are cobblestone and oak; gnoll camps are acacia and hay. Once built they stay, like a village.

They respect your property. Camps never overwrite solid blocks, never build across your paths or farmland, and never appear within 64 blocks of a village. A chest of yours nearby makes them abandon the site entirely. Camps also keep their distance from one another, so settlements don’t pile up.

And they fight. Goblins and gnolls are hostile on sight, and packs adopt their king’s quarrel. Catch two warbands meeting at a biome border and the sensible thing is to find cover and let it happen.

Two Currencies

Goblins pay out in Epic, gnolls in Electrum. Both compress the same way — nine coins to a bar, nine bars to a block — and coins and bars convert freely in both directions. The Electrum block is the exception: it only goes one way, and it exists for exactly one purpose.

The Lich

The Lich, a crowned skull-faced sorcerer in brown robes, on the End islands beneath a purple boss bar

The outer End islands · summon-only

He does not spawn. You have to call him, on the far islands past the dragon, and he is built to be genuinely hard rather than merely tanky. Hundreds of health, immune to fire and knockback, and resistant to almost everything that isn’t netherite or Smite — he counts as undead, and that is the whole key to the fight. He summons waves of bound undead who never turn on him.

He cannot be cheesed. Disengage and he regenerates fast. Knock him into the void or off a ledge and he blinks straight back. Destroy the arena floor and it repairs itself under him. Bring a party of three to five and fight him properly.

And he does not stay dead. Bring him to zero and he resurrects, casting out a Phylactery — his soul-jar. Pick it up, throw it, shatter it, and only then is he mortal. Kill him a second time and he drops the Lich’s Heart.

The Path to Flight

The Magic Carpet in flight, a blue and gold woven carpet seen from above over dark terrain at night

The Magic Carpet is a two-seat flying vehicle with helicopter controls — steer, hover, climb, descend. No durability, never burns, and riders take no fall damage. It is frankly better than an Elytra, which is fitting, because you sacrifice one to make it.

The recipe is the whole game in one line: one Epic Block from the goblins, one Electrum Block from the gnolls, and one Lich’s Heart. Farm both factions, beat the Ender Dragon, summon the Lich, kill him twice, and fly.

One catch: underwater it crawls, and it will not save you from drowning. Deliberately so.

Summoning the Lich

1

Craft the Summoning Tome

Three diamond blocks across the bottom, and above them an ender pearl, an elytra, a book, a bone, rotten flesh, and a wither skeleton skull.

2

Build the altar

Travel to the outer End islands through a gateway. Lay a 3×3 platform of crying obsidian with a gold block on each corner — and make sure a 16×16 stretch of endstone surrounds it, at least 8 deep. Without the arena the ritual will not fire.

3

Place the tome and stand back

Set the Summoning Tome on the centre block. The gold and the tome are consumed, the obsidian stays, and the Lich rises. Bring netherite, bring Smite, and bring friends.

Two Books Worth Finding

The story is written down somewhere in your world, if you look. A Deathless Account explains the Lich’s ritual and hides in End City ship chests. On Wings of Cloth tells the carpet’s story and turns up in Nether bastions.

Requirements

What you need

  • Minecraft Java 26.2 with Fabric and Fabric API
  • Java 25, on both client and server — every creature uses custom rendering
  • Single-jar install, all assets bundled
  • Companion: JRH Giants — goblins and gnolls flee giants when both are installed

For Server Owners

  • Neither faction spawns within 64 blocks of a village, so trade halls, golems and villagers are protected.
  • Population is capped on three levels — per region, per king, and an absolute ceiling per faction — so factions cannot run away with a world.
  • Camp members persist like villagers; unaffiliated stragglers despawn on normal rules.
  • Camp building refuses to touch player property, and aborts entirely near a player chest.
