How to Play

New to modded Minecraft? Here’s everything you need to get the JRH mods running — from zero to your first elf village.

◆ What you’ll need

  • Minecraft Java Edition 26.2 — the mods are built for this exact version
  • Fabric Loader 0.19.3 — the mod loader the JRH mods run on
  • Fabric API 0.150.1 — a required companion mod nearly every Fabric mod needs
  • The JRH mod jars — from the Downloads page

Step 1 · Get Fabric

There are two ways to install Fabric. New to this? Take the easy road.

The Easy Way

Recommended

Use a launcher app that installs Fabric for you — no fiddling. Install one, then create a Minecraft 26.2 profile with the Fabric loader selected. These apps can manage your mods too.

The Manual Way

Use Fabric’s own installer. Download it, close the Minecraft launcher first, run the installer, confirm the version reads 26.2, and click Install. It creates a selectable “Fabric” profile in your launcher.

Step 2 · Add Fabric API

Don’t skip this — it’s the #1 thing people forget. Fabric API is a separate mod that the JRH mods (and most Fabric mods) require. Download it and drop the .jar into your mods folder alongside everything else. If you used a launcher app in Step 1, you can also just search “Fabric API” inside the app and add it there.

Step 3 · Install the JRH mods

Find your mods folder (create it if it isn’t there yet):

Windows%AppData%\.minecraft\mods
macOS~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods
Linux~/.minecraft/mods

Drop your downloaded .jar files — Fabric API plus the JRH mods — into that folder. That’s the whole install.

Step 4 · Launch

1

Open the Minecraft launcher

Select the “Fabric” profile from the version dropdown next to Play.

2

Hit Play

You’ll see a small Fabric splash flash before the Minecraft logo — that’s your sign it worked. Load a world and the realm awaits.

One golden rule: everything must match Minecraft 26.2 — the loader, Fabric API, and every mod. Version mismatches are the number-one cause of crashes. If a mod says it’s for a different version, don’t use it with this pack.
