JRH Pegasus and Unicorn
Pegasi that fly, unicorns that charge, and nightmares that walk on lava and shoot fire.
Six magical horses for Minecraft. Flying Pegasi, Unicorns that charge at anything in front of them, and Nightmares that walk across lava without flinching. Find the wild ones, tame them, saddle them, and breed the rarer kinds that never appear in the world on their own.
They spawn wild in plains, savanna, forest and meadow country, and they breed. Find a pair and you will often find a foal with them.
Take to the Skies
The Pegasus flies, and it flies on a stamina bar you can see the whole time you are mounted. Stamina refills only on the ground, so distance is something you plan rather than something you hold a key down for. Land, rest, go again.
The Charge
Hold sprint on a horned horse and it starts winding up. A purple aura gathers and a hum rises for about two seconds, then it strikes, hard. Release sprint and the whole thing cancels, so committing to it is a real decision in the middle of a fight.
Horned horses also heal themselves, and give their rider regeneration while mounted.
Ride Through Fire
The Nightmare spawns in the Nether and belongs there. It walks on lava, floats back up if it goes under, and keeps its rider fireproof for as long as you stay mounted. Tap sprint and it throws a fireball, glowing red as it charges.
On its home ground it moves two and a half times faster and jumps twice as high, and it never takes landing damage from its own jumps.
Breed the Rest
Only the Pegasus, the Unicorn and the Nightmare appear in the wild. The Alicorn, the Elevated Mule and the Donkicornasus exist only at the end of a breeding line, and the Alicorn and the Donkicornasus carry both flight and the charge.
The Donkicornasus also hauls a thirty-slot double chest, with its own wider window.

Getting Started
- ◆Look for Pegasi and Unicorns in plains, savanna, forest and meadow country
- ◆Tame and saddle one the way you would a vanilla horse
- ◆Take a Pegasus up and monitor the stamina bar before you commit to a long crossing
- ◆Go to the Nether for a Nightmare in the crimson and warped forests
- ◆Breed your way to an Alicorn. It flies and charges
